Saul Blaster

This game is based on the AMC series Better Call Saul and sees the player, Saul Goodman, facing off against his brother and AI-controlled opponent, Chuck McGill. The controls of this game are simple - use the keyboard to type the prompt presented and the enter button to submit, as well as the left and right arrow keys to move your player. The core gameplay loop revolves a series of events. First, the game will present the player with a randomly chosen prompt, which the player has to type. The more accurate your typing, the more projectiles you will gain for the next stage: shooting. The player then uses the arrow keys to move while projectiles are fired at your opponent. Once all projectiles are fired, Chuck gets the opportunity to fire back. The player also uses the arrow keys to dodge these attacks. Gameplay continues until either Saul or Chuck’s health is completely depleted. Be wary, however, that Chuck’s attack and movement speed increase as time goes on! Put your typing skills to the test and show your brother who’s the better lawyer in Saul Blaster! Created using Microsoft XNA framework as a final project for Game Engine class.
